The GM officials confirmed the intention to produce Opel Astra in the USA next year. On the American market the car will be sold under the name Saturn Astra. Saturn plays a special role in GM corporation, because in the USA make cars using the latest technical achievements. Moreover such cars possess almost ideal price/quality ratio.

“Astra, which possesses a European style and brilliant dynamic features, will be good fresh forces for the Saturn model line”, - said the Saturn director Jill Largezack. Moreover he underlined that “this model depicts our intentions to offer brand new models and refresh the whole model range as quickly as possible“. So far the model line includes the roadster SKY, the sedan Aura, the crossover Outlook, the compact crossover Vue and the new Astra.
